Street Photography Revisted

It’s been a while since I did any street shooting, differing circumstances, work etc. So I’ve been having a look through older images on my hard drive.

This one was taken in 2013 on the Southbank in London, one of my regular haunts at the time, I love the brutalism building structure there, and stumbling upon this scene of a beautiful delicate ballerina pictured against the harsh concrete background appealed to me.

I don’t know the photographer on the floor directing her,¬† I presume they¬† are doing a promo photoshoot of some sort. It pays to look back through older images and it’s a known fact amongst street photographers to let images ‘stew’ for a while before going back over them makes it easier to kill off weaker images and lose your emotional bond with them.
