I pass the undercoft, the skate park on London’s Southbank quite often on my walks in London.
This iconic skateboarding venue has been on the go since the ’70’s and I can well remember reading about it in the early skateboard mags way back when I was into it (and I mean WAYYYYY back!!!)
It escaped redevelopment in 2013 when the southbank centre wanted to turn it into a new wing, probably more shop spaces. A big petition and campaign ensued and it was saved.
It’s a great place to get some action shots of the skaters, bmx riders (check out the inverted scooter guy….. crazy!) and the occasional graffiti artist.
